That was a letdown ... Dirty ambience, not much of the hygiene concept is noticeable: during our stay there was never any airing, distances are hardly maintained and many guests (no face mask) don't seem to care. Food is below average, but not cheap. Tunky sauce, partly burnt potatoes, all in all very fatty. Get out of here quickly ... And better never come back.

Very nice restaurant in the center of Eschwege. The eye-catcher is the great beer garden in the inner courtyard. The food is good home-style, very plentiful and tastes really excellent. The whole thing is rounded off by the second-friendliest service in the Werra Meißner district. A really great recommendation when it comes to German cuisine.

In fact, we visited the Golden Angel two days in a row and ate exceptionally delicious both times. The steak was not only of excellent quality but including the side dishes simply perfectly prepared and the salad on day two varied, fresh with a wonderful dressing. Should we come to Eschwege again, we will definitely come back.

Food was ok, maybe I was a little unlucky, the rest was satisfied. I had salad, which unfortunately almost only came out of the "bucket", I would have liked a fresh salad. For that almost 15 € is too much. Meat dishes were probably quite good. Service nice! Toilets could use some renovation.

The Sparerips were super juicy, fell off the bone and really tasty. The vegetarian dish, sheep's cheese with a vegetable garnish and herbal baguette, is also highly recommended

We were there on July 25th, early evening and were very impressed with the service and ambience. The kitchen was just awesome for us, from salad to rump steak and sour cream schnitzel. We would love to come back again. Price performance is absolutely justified

Very 'German' restaurant in the city centre of Eschwege with great food for good prices. Especially the steaks are really fantastic. It's a populair place ... so make reservations if you want to eat there!!

Were here on the 2nd Christmas holiday. It was a nice evening. The location is a bit rustic but very cozy and inviting. The food was great and delicious! The service was also fast and friendly. Prices are great for what you get offered. Can only recommend it!

Not very appealing from the outside. It's no better inside. The courtyard is okay. The food is average but the prices are too high. After a waiting time of 45 minutes, we ate two asparagus with corn floe and one with rump steak and one pasta. We then paid including drinks € 107.00. We won't do that again. 👎👎👎
